I get this is trying to be like Resident Evil, a franchise which I have never played but have watched walkthroughs for all the games, and those games look better than this will ever be. The combat is way too slow and boring to sit through, and you run out of ammo pretty fast, but you can only stack so much ammo, and I couldn't even find much more ammo for the gun I was using, and I couldn't find ANY ammo for the frigging shotgun. The camera is pretty bad too. Even RE's camera is placed in better spots than this. They really like to place the camera where you can't see the enemies. You will actually have to use the auto-aim in order to kill them, because they aren't always in view of the camera as they should be, because they have it too close to your character. And I didn't exactly find the music very fitting for a game set in a place so dark and creepy. The animations aren't that great either. They're kinda goofy. I kinda like it, honestly. Now, I know that even RE has a limit to your inventory, and I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but FOUR SLOTS?! They keep laying out weapons for you that you won't even be able to hold, because you need to pick up ammo for another gun, or grab painkillers, which you cannot stack, unfortunately. The inventory system is messed up in my opinion. There should be at least 8. That'd be more manageable. So yeah, I think this game isn't very good. It's not fun, it's not scary, and I personally recommend that you not bother with this. I mean, if co-op makes it a bit more entertaining for you, then by all means go for it, Good on you.. This game is brilliant, its a tribute to Resident Evil 1-3, it has that tension and difficulty. The balance of the levels is sublime with just barely enough ammo to keep you going. Can't recommend this enough, played it both single player and multiplayer. I think its multiplayer that shines, The team work required and the level of communication needed is awesome fun. There are enough levels in the game to keep you busy for a long long time, The first level took us 3 tries (5 tries if you include my single player games) to do it and the feeling of success is still riding high for us. Each try was almost 45 minutes with our successful try coming in at 59minutes of insane intensity. We just started the 2nd level and it is worth noting that the evironment is totally different which is cool The 2nd level is not in a building (mostly) but on the streets and the attention to detail is really good.(Update to the review: The following paragraph was in my original review, but within 24 hours, the Dev had put up a fix for the problem, so kudos to that!)"I do have 1 negative thing to say for the dev that is reading this: In multiplayer (at least on the first level "outbreak", we haven't played the other levels enough to say if this is a problem on all the levels), it appears that the zombies that "spawn" in randomly are invisible to the person that is connecting to the server. The person hosting the server is fine. I don't know if this happens in all the maps or not. We tested this out with different people hosting and connecting, it remained the same. This is not game breaking but it is annoying and needs fixing. "Love this game and love to see where the dev takes it.. Don't get me wrong this game has a lot of things going for it, especially if you are a fan of the old Resident Evil games. However, I got very nauseous after playing for least than 2 hours. Another problem which they would probably fix are the bad camera placement, not so much because you can see the enemies sometimes because that how the old RE games are like, but there are many times I would see about 3/4 of the screen is my body. Overall as an early access game it is fun and have a lot of potential, but the bad camera work that giving me that bad nauseous feeling I'm not sure can i recommend it for now.. nice awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If your a classic survival horror fan this is the game for you. Yes it may be early access and the occasional bugs ,but this game more than makes up for it with the fun you have playing through it whether alone or with friends. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed classic resident evil titles (0-3, code Veronica, outbreak) or the silent hill games. It's brings back the nostalgia and challenge of the old styled tank controlled horror game with limited ammo, low health , and puzzles.. If you're a fan of survival horror games such are Resident Evil, then this game is the perfect game for you!!!! This game has a tremendous potential to be great.
